Lisa Belanger, PhD, EMBA, CSEP-CEP
Dr. Lisa Belanger, CEO of ConsciousWorks, is on a mission to revolutionize how leaders harness cutting-edge science to unlock their full potential. With a Ph.D. in Behavioural Medicine, an Executive MBA, and certifications as an Exercise Physiologist and High Performance Specialist, she brings a powerhouse blend of expertise to the table.
Before the world hit pause in 2020, Lisa was jet-setting across the globe - baby in tow - delving into workplace culture, leadership dynamics, and the art of stress resilience. Her hands-on experiences, coupled with groundbreaking research, inspired her to create and host the hit podcast Work Less, Produce More, and she’s now gearing up to launch Rest for the Wicked, a fresh take on sustainable success.
As an accomplished author, Lisa has penned Inspire Me Well: Finding Motivation to Take Control of Your Health and A Cup of Mindfulness: For the Busy & Restless, with her highly anticipated book Work Better, Rest Better: A Science-Backed Guide to Peak Performance with Energy to Spare coming soon.
When she’s not coaching high achievers, Lisa’s conquering mountains - literally. From summiting Mount Kilimanjaro with her father to running the Paris Marathon, she thrives on challenges. But perhaps her proudest role - being the ultimate snack holder to her two tiny humans.
At the beginning of Dr. Lisa’s career,
she spent countless hours speaking with people with a terminal illness while researching cancer, health behaviours and quality of life. These conversations and reflections motivated her to study and seek experiences on how to make the most out of life.
Dr. Lisa realized that our mental wellbeing is our most valuable asset and that our routines - the seeming small daily habits, work design and skills - improve how we work and how we view the world.
She became keen to translate the science on how we can be proactive with our mental and physical health, continuously learn, and perform at our best, into creating meaningful work and depth of experience in life.
